Our Foundations
Statement of Faith
At LICC, our beliefs are rooted in the timeless truths of the Gospel. We are committed to the Christian faith, empowered by the Holy Spirit to transform our world with the love of Christ.

We Believe in the teachings of the Holy Bible
The Church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. We believe in the essential unity of all believers and the responsibility of the local church to fulfill the Great Commission.

Salvation

God
We believe in one God. He is all knowing (Omniscient), all powerful (Omnipotent) and in all places at all times (Omnipresent). He is the Creator of the universe, He is eternal and the Father.
Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. He is the head of the body and the beloved Son of God.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the believer is empowered to be all that God wants him to be and fulfil the mind of God. He is eternal and the third person in the trinity of the Godhead.
Salvation
We believe in the necessity of repentance, confession of sin, and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior for the forgiveness of sins and the salvation of lost and sinful humanity. No matter how good a man is, he needs salvation but the good news is that Jesus already paid all that is necessary for the salvation of mankind.
Water Baptism
We believe in the importance of water baptism by immersion for believers, symbolizing their identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and their commitment to a new life in Him.
The Holy Spirit Baptism
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience after salvation, empowering believers for witness and service
The Gifts of the Spirit
We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, including the gifts of prophecy, healing, and miracles, which are available to believers today for the edification of the church and the spreading of the gospel.
The Great Commission
We believe in the importance of the Great Commission, to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything Jesus commanded
Marriage
We believe marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by God, uniting one man and one woman as a lifelong commitment to love, faithfulness, and unity. It reflects Christ’s relationship with the Church and serves as the foundation for family and society.
The Holy Communion
We believe in the practice of communion, or the Lord’s Supper, as a commemoration of the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ, his body broken and his blood shed for the forgiveness of sins, and as a symbol of the unity of believers in Christ. Both the bread and the blood taken during the communion are symbols and the event is a commemoration of the body of Jesus, broken for us and His precious blood that was shed.
The Trinity of the Godhead
We believe in the triune nature of God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three distinct persons who are co-equal, co-eternal, and one in essence.
The Holy Bible
We believe in the divine inspiration and authority of the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, as the infallible Word of God, and the final authority for life and godliness. The bible was written by the inspiration of God on Holy men of old. It takes the help of the Holy Spirit to understand it.
Sanctification and Holiness
We believe sanctification is being set apart for God’s purpose, and holiness is the lifestyle that reflects God’s character. Sanctification begins at salvation and continues through the believer’s life by the Holy Spirit.
Divine Healing
We believe in divine healing as part of the redemptive work of Christ. Through faith and prayer, God restores health and performs miracles.
The Rapture
We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ to rapture His Church. This event will be sudden, visible to believers, and will mark the beginning of the end-time events.
The Second Coming
We believe in the imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ, the blessed hope of the Church, and the fulfillment of God’s kingdom on earth, as He has promised.
The Resurrection of the Dead
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
Heaven
We believe heaven is the eternal dwelling place of God and those who have been redeemed by Jesus Christ. It is a place of perfect joy, peace, and worship.
Hell
We believe hell is a place of eternal separation from God, prepared for the devil, his angels, and all who reject the salvation offered through Jesus Christ.
